S.P.I.T. On Your Memory

Plot: Thanks to the diabolical Spandexx, Mike Abate has lost his memory, and doesn't know who he is, where he is, or what he is.

Backstory: The third movie was considered our "Goldfinger" at the time but now clearly was an influence for "The Bourne Identity." This was one of the few Mike Abate movies to actually have a beginning, middle and end. SPITball: This was our first use of bystanders, including the hotel concierge and little kid with the Max Headroom t-shirt.

SPIT on Your Shakespeare

S.P.I.T. On Your Shakespeare

Plot: Breaking the fourth wall, Michael Abate stops mid-fight and declares he'd through playing Mike Abate, and heads out on his own to play the greatest role for the greatest actor, Macbeth.

Backstory: Inspired by the actors' actual desire to try something new, "Shakespeare" is an oddity in the franchise, a Mike Abate film that is not a Mike Abate film. It also owes a lot to Mel Gibson's "Hamlet," his own attempt to break out of the "Lethal Weapon" franchise. Locations include the Bethesda Studios and the Wisconsin Cinemas in Tenleytown.

SPITball: Oliver has a twisted ankle and this is the only film he doesn't actually have a fight scene.

SPIT on Your CarFight

S.P.I.T. On Your Car Fight

Plot: Mike Abate and Spandexx fight on top of a car.

Backstory: This is a post-modern action film. Boiling down the story to the very essence of action, this is a three-minute thrill ride. More or less. Actually, we just thought it would be fun to fight on top of a car. The only location is the Lord & Taylor parking lot in Friendship Heights.

SPITball: There's little to no dialogue in this movie.
